I loved The History of Love by the same author, and think that I went into this book with high expectations that it would touch me the same. But it didn't. It's a story about a man who has a brain tumor and when they take it out he can't remember anything past the age of 12. He doesn't remember who he is, or his wife, or the life that he has. It makes me wonder just what it would be like to lose all those years. A scary thought. But I just wasn't really impressed by the book. Clearly she did some research and that's amazing, but the story just couldn't keep my attention. All the memories and brain talk, made my brain hurt. So pass on this one, and read The History of Love instead.
