The Art of Racing In The Rain

I read this book because everyone else in my family read and said I should to. At first it took me a while to read it because I wasn't sure what it was about. "You don't need to know what it's about. Just read it!" OK, so I did.

It's about Enzo, the dog, and life through his eyes. From the time he is a puppy and meets Denny, witnessing as Denny gets married, has a child, races cars, loses his wife, almost loses his child due to a scandal that didn't happen. From puppy to adulthood, to his last day.

It was a touching story as far as the dog's life goes, makes me wonder how much of what we say and do that our pets truly understand. Probably not much, otherwise the cat would know how mad I get when they poop on the floor.

Parts of this book made me mad. The whole part where everyone thought that Denny had relations with an underage girl even though he didn't really made me mad. People being accused of things they didn't do angers me.

But other than that, and all the racing talk (because it bores me),it was a touching read and something to check out
