I read this book years ago, probably when it first came out, and I'm not sure what made me want to read it again, but I did.
It's the story of Maggie, who has always been the goody-goody in the family, so everyone is a bit surprised (as is she) to find out that her hubby cheated on her. So she goes on vacation (from Ireland) to L.A. to stay with her friend Emily. While there, she tries to live a little, do things she wouldn't normally do. It was a decent book, a bit long. The part were her family comes for a vacation to see her in L.A. could've been left out.
After reading this, I know that I never want to live in L.A. It's a dog eat dog town and I wouldn't last a week.
